POLICE hunting for two crooks who nabbed nearly half a million pounds worth of booze from a Linwood haulage firm have issued a fresh appeal for information.

The two men managed to gain access to two vehicles and made off with one of the trucks being discovered in East Kilbride on Monday.

From enquiries carried out so far it is understood that one of the trucks was driven behind a small black car to the nearby Riverpark Industrial Estate in Bridge Street.
Police enquiries into the matter have so far failed to find the robbers behind the daring plot and detectives investigating the incident are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area.
They are also warning people to be wary of anyone selling alcohol at a cut-price rate in the run up to Christmas.
Detective Sergeant Michael Lochrie from Paisley CID said: “Extensive enquiries are underway and we are appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to please get in touch.
“In particular we would ask anyone who was in the vicinity of Riverpark Industrial Estate around 5pm yesterday evening and may have noticed any suspicious activity to contact police.
