BUSINESSES on Johnstone’s struggling high street are set to be dealt another blow by the month of resurfacing works at the train station.
That’s the view of local shop owner Allan Henderson, who feels car parking spaces are going to be taken away from shoppers in place of hundreds of commuters.
Mr Henderson also feels the works are going to have an impact on local residents who live near the station.

He told The Gazette: “There is going to be another 200 cars in the way and this will affect businesses on the high street.
“I just don’t know why it is going to take so long - in France they can do this sort of thing in two days.

“I really feel this issue would be solved completely if they either built a car park in Paisley or made parking free.”
