The men managed to gain access to the vehicles and left the premises.
The alarm was raised around midnight and police were called.
From enquiries carried out so far it is understood that one of the trucks was driven behind a small black car to the nearby Riverpark Industrial Estate in Bridge Street.
Once there, the cab was disconnected from the trailer and fitted to another cab and driven away.
One of the trucks has since been recovered in the East Kilbride area.
Detective Sergeant Michael Lochrie from Paisley CID said: “Extensive enquiries are underway and we are appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to please get in touch.
