A FUNDRAISING drive has been launched following the tragic death of a Paisley teenager.
Regan Murray, 14, was found unconscious at a house in Alloway Grove in the Dykebar area of town on Tuesday.
Police have confirmed his death is not suspicious.
Regan played for Busby AFC, in East Renfrewshire, as a centre midfielder, and the club has now launched a GoFundMe page in support of his devastated family, including his twin brother Callum.
Joseph Noon, general manager of Busby AFC, said: "Regan was a very confident player who had a lot of promise. He was extremely talented and had settled into the club really well with his brother.
"It seemed like he was really enjoying his time with us. This has come as a real shock to everyone who knew Regan.
"We would like to express our deepest condolences to Regan's parents, brother and his younger sister at this extremely hard time."
The announcement of Regan's death on the club's Facebook page attracted hundreds of messages from those who knew the St Andrew's Academy pupil.
Mr Noon also posted a message on Facebook on behalf of Regan's dad Arthur.
It said: "These messages brought us to tears.
"Please let everyone know it's much appreciated by us as we struggle to come to terms with the sudden loss of our wee boy."
The fundraising page has already raised more than £1,100 in just a day of being up online.
