A MAN is to go on trial after a headless and limbless body was found in Paisley.
David Collins, 46, is accused of killing Kevin Bishop, 32, before chopping up his body and binning it.
He is also said to have tried to clean his flat, where prosecutors claim he murdered Mr Bishop, so there was no trace of the deceased, depriving him of a proper burial.

Prosecutors claim Collins killed Mr Bishop, who was reported missing on August 4 this year, just hours after the last sighting of him on July 27.

Collins, of Schaw Road, Paisley, is said to have committed the murder at his flat ‘by means presently unknown to the prosecutor.’
He faces a second charge of attempting to defeat the ends of justice by dismembering the body, dumping parts of it in a bin and other unknown locations, disposing of the tools and then cleaning his flat in a bid to avoid detection.
That charge also states he failed to advise police of the whereabouts of the remains.

Collins made his second court appearance in connection with the case last week and was committed for trial. He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
No future court dates have been set but Collins is expected to go on trial before a jury at the High Court.
