Talented youngsters from a Renfrewshire dance troupe struck gold at an international competition.
Dancewest Scotland, based at the Carrick Centre, in Houston, won top prizes at the Dance Camp Championships Disneyland Paris 2018 event.
The troupe, which went by the name Dancewest Galaxy for the contest, was made up of 31 dancers, with 20 supporters joining them.
Trophies won included three first places, five second places and three third places across team, solo and duet routines.
A spokesperson said: “We secured more than £2,000 of sponsorship from several local businesses, which paid for the team kit.
“We would like to thank DMD Detailing, Barking Buddies Dog Grooming, Stewart’s Landscaping, McDermid Energy Solutions, Davenport Cleaning Services, Doll Lashes, Parducci, Quinn Memorials and Weldmat Consultancy for their support.”
The Dance Camp Championships Disneyland Paris featured competitors from various countries, with a host of prizes on offer.
Dancers competed in various disciplines, including classical, modern, vocal and alternative, as well as a special Disney character category.
