TRIBUTES have been paid to a young dad who died in a horror accident at a recycling plant in Linwood.
It’s understood that Martin Kane, 28, suffered crush injuries at the William Tracey depot while working with heavy machinery.
Police cordoned off part of the Burnbrae Road site while a probe into the tragedy got under way.
Friends and family have taken to social media to praise Martin, who was hailed as a “happy and nice guy.”
Gordy Leith wrote: “I’m shocked beyond belief. He was some boy.”
Martin, who was engaged to be married, suffered fatal injuries at around 12.30pm on Wednesday, March 28.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but were unable to save him.
Bosses at the recycling plant are among those to pay tribute to Martin, who was from Greenock and is understood to have a young son.
