THE Lochwinnoch Arts Festival came to a colourful end as a Krafty Kids event took place.
The village has been the cultural capital of Renfrewshire over the past few weeks as the annual celebration took place.
There was something to suit all tastes, including music, theatre, comedy, photography and music.
And youngsters got together to give the fortnight of fun a great send-off through the Krafty Kids session.
The event was run by Katharine Hardi, who has a BA Honours degree in Art and Design from Glasgow School of Art.
She has worked with adults and children for many years, helping to get their creative juices flowing.
And the theme for Lochwinnoch’s Krafty Kids fun focused on Easter, with a variety of activities on offer for little ones to enjoy.
Katharine said: “I have been running these sessions for a number of years, mainly during the winter months in Lochwinnoch.
“However, I always like to run classes for special occasions such as the arts festival and the village gala day.
“We had a great turnout over the weekend – around 30 kids of various ages attended.
“This ranged from little ones aged around two years old, who came along with their mums, to primary seven pupils who helped out on the day.”
Kids got stuck into making Easter-themed goodies such as bonnets and decorated eggs.
They also painted wooden butterflies and egg cups, as well as printing multi-coloured patterns on paper.
Katharine added: “It was lovely to see the children get into the Easter spirit.”
