A Paisley teenager has been charged after allegedly attacking a police officer at a train station.
Cops working to trace a 16-year-old boy from the town were called to Dalmuir Station in Clydebank on Sunday at around 8.20pm following a possible sighting of him.
After approaching the youth police say he became aggressive and verbally abusive towards officers.
The youngster was then arrested and allegedly started to pull away from police who were attempting to apply handcuffs.
It is reported that he continued to struggle and then allegedly headbutted an officer.
Handcuffs and leg restraints were applied due to the reported level of resistance.
Police said the 16-year-old reportedly continued to abuse officers and spat on one of them.
He was then taken to Clydebank Police Station where he was charged in connection with alleged disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, police assault, and using homophobic language.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
