Cops are now treating the discovery of a body in a reservoir as 'unexplained'.
We previously reported that emergency crews were called to Stanley Reservoir in Paisley shortly after midday on Friday afternoon.
Initially, officers did not believe there to be any apparent suspicious circumstances.
The force has since revealed they are treating his death as unexplained and continuing to look into what happened.
A report is being sent to the procurator fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.10pm on Friday, January 12, 2024, police were called to Stanley Reservoir, Gleniffer Road, Paisley, following the discovery of a man's body.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal”
