A DEVASTATED cat owner has hit out at transport firm McGill’s after her beloved pet was run over by a bus.
Amanda Graham, 21, said bus bosses refused to acknowledge the incident after she told them much-loved moggy Kasey had been killed in Park Drive, Erskine.
The four-year-old cat was well-known in the area, where she was befriended by a number of animal lovers.

Amanda told The Gazette: “Kasey used to always be at the bus stop and everyone knew her and loved her.
“Even some bus drivers waited to say hello to her but, a month ago, my brother was driving along and spotted her on the road.
Kasey was a much loved cat in the area
“A woman was there and told him that a driver had basically just drove off after hitting Kasey.”
Amanda sent an email to McGill’s to ask about the incident and initially received no reply.
Amanda says she was not even offered an apology by McGill's
It was only after she took to social media that head of operations Neil Dryden got in touch.
She was invited to view CCTV footage of the accident but was unhappy with the lack of a “proper apology.”
Amanda said: “It really angers me. To offer no apology to us was absolutely shocking.”
However, after being contacted by The Gazette, McGill’s did offer an apology.

A spokesperson for the firm said: “This is a tragic and sad turn of events.
"Our driver was aware of the cat crossing the road. However, as the bus got closer, the cat suddenly turned around and ran right under the bus.
“We would like to extend our sympathies and our apologies to the owners of the cat. We are well aware that it was a well-known and popular pet in that area.”
