Renfrew boss Jimmy Quigley has revealed he plans to retain the bulk of his squad for next season after beating the drop.
It was a tense end to the First Division campaign for the New Western Park club after coming up as champions a year ago.
Quigley is set to make a small number of new signings but believes his current players will benefit from spending this season together.
He told Gazette Sport: “It was a poor start to the season for us but we rallied round and really dug in with some good victories, which shows we can compete at this level.
“I’ve had conversations with most of the squad and they’ve all intimated they are keen to stay.
"I’ve spoken to one or two guys from other clubs to bring them in but they’ve still got games going on with their own team.
“I want to keep the majority of the squad because they’ve had a year together now and I think they will compete well next year and we’ll add a couple of bits of quality to make us more competitive.”
Renfrew round off this season on Friday night as they take on St Roch’s, with a 7pm kick-off at James McGrory Park.
