A loyal musician with 40 years of service is to be honoured for her distinguished service to the band and the brass music scene in Scotland.
Myra Mack, from Paisley, who joined the Renfrew Burgh Band in the late 1960s has been given a life membership medal from the Scottish Brass Band Association (SBBA).
Myra who plays repiano cornet and is chairperson was an original member of the Renfrewshire Schools Brass Band before joining Renfrew.
She was presented with the medal by SBBS secretary Tom Allan.
News of her award comes as the band prepares for their spring concert on Saturday, May 18.
They will perform in Renfrew Town Hall with guest soloist and virtuoso trombone player Brett Baker who has won multiple European, National and British Open titles and is part of Black Dyke Band.
The concert is in partnership with Renfrewshire Council and Renfrew Local Partnership.
