Commitee members at a Linwood bowling club are tackling loneliness in the community after announcing that they have received charitable status.
Woodlands Community Bowling Club are always looking for new members and is particularly looking at getting people, who may be alone, into the sport.
The move comes as the club were given their status for the work they have done in the community by hosting special events such as open days, afternoon teas and special dinners.

And now members of the club have revealed that they have recently had a Community Asset Transfer agreed by Renfrewshire Council and OneRen that they say they "hope will be concluded" by the end of the year.
The transfer will see the ownership of the building be handed over to those at the bowling club where they will take control.
Helen Bateman, a volunteer and committee member, said an open day earlier this month went very well and called on anyone wanting to try something new to get along.
The 60-year-old added: "We had 50 people who all attended to open the green.
"It was a good turnout for our first day.
"The open day contains a lot of excitement. People are always really keen to get back out on the green.
"Now to be in the final stages of the Community Asset Transfer is great.
"We are hoping to get it all sorted real soon as we are all volunteers and we want to make sure it is all properly maintained as cutbacks mean the council can't afford to do the work that we want to do.
"We are not just bowls, we are a community hall. People can come up and have a coffee, tea or a chat if they want.
"For some of our elderly members, it might be the only time that they get out of the house to see people. So we like to try and encourage that to happen more."
