A Howwood man has raised a phenomenal £30,488 for St Vincent's Hospice with a spree of charity events since 2016.
Phil Steven completed activities such as numerous pool ball challenges including playing a staggering 534 frames non-stop in his commitment to raising funds for the hospice.
He also organised fundraising events at the Midton Bowling Club in Howwood, such as tribute nights to Elvis, Freddie Mercury, and Elton John.
Phil said: "I want to give a huge thanks to all of the staff at Midton Bowling Club in Howwood, especially Michael Quinn (resident DJ), Linda Williamson, Andy Currie and all of the bar staff.
"A special mention to Richard Pelling who provides his now infamous homemade sausage rolls and cheese and biscuit platters, all at no cost, helping to raise as much as possible on the night for the hospice.
"Heartfelt thanks to everyone who buys tickets and donates bottles for our raffle – my charity nights would simply not be possible without this unwavering support. Thanks to each and every one of you.”
Emma Donald, community, corporate and events manager at St Vincent's Hospice, thanked Phil for his support over the years.
She said: "Phil has created an incredible community of support, from friends, family and local businesses who have come together to help support him in his fundraising efforts for the hospice.
"It really is lovely to see a community come together for a local cause and we are so grateful to everyone involved.
"It costs over £6,000 for a full 24 hours of care at the hospice, and the reality is we can’t do what we do without the generosity and support of people like Phil and the wider community.”
